Your videos stay on your device

Akka edits the videos and photos in your Photos library on your iPhone or iPad. Your projects are saved on your device. Akka doesn't upload your videos, and there are no accounts, ads or tracking.

Photos

Akka asks for access to your Photos library so you can pick clips, and for permission to add videos so it can save your exports. Clips are used where they are in your library rather than copied.

Auto captions

When you ask for captions, Akka uses Apple's speech recognition. It runs on your device when your device supports it; otherwise Apple may process the audio under Apple's privacy policy.

Library

When you browse or use the Library, the app downloads effects and clips from akka.ridgelan.com. Like most websites, the server keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and time of request) to keep the service running and secure.
